Air Jordan 1 "Shattered Backboard" releases August 23rd, 2025 via Nike SNKRS

After a long wait since the initial news about the release leaked last year and an early release via European retailers, the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG "Shattered Backboard" finally has a release date. According to multiple industry sources, the pair is expected to release August 23rd, 2025 via Nike SNKRS. The limited edition basketball sneaker releases in full-family sizing, and will retail for $185 USD (recommended retail price).

Design Details

The Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG "Shattered Backboard" features a premium synthetic leather upper in a "Starfish" orange colorway, paying homage to the Stefanel Trieste basketball team. On the 25th of August back in 1985, Michael Jordan played an exhibition game in Trieste, Italy. During the fourth quarter, he shattered the backboard during a dunk, abruptly stopping the game. This colorway is inspired by the black and orange jersey he was wearing during the match. Widely considered as one of the best Air Jordan 1 colorways, this pair originally released in 2015, returning during Fall 2025 for their 10th anniversary.

Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG "Shattered Backboard" (style code: DZ5485-008) will release via Nike SNKRS on August 23rd, 2025 in the United States, with the pair having already released via Nike SNKRS in Europe on the 12th of July, 2025. This limited edition release is also going to be available with retailers worldwide. The retail price is set at $185 USD, with the pair releasing for the first time ever in full-family sizing.
